Terrible experience.
Disliked: Terrible experience. I made the reservation with booking.com and paid the full price at the same time as making the reservation as I didn't want to have issues paying with a foreign credit card at the hotel. I arrived at the hotel and they could not see my reservation on their system. They said I could book with them directly but that would've involve me paying twice. They suggested I phoned booking.com which I did, waiting for quite some time before having to give up, as it was getting late and I had to find somewhere else to stay in an unfamiliar city. The staff member was friendly and supportive but placed the responsibility completely on booking.com and myself, even though the hotel is part of a large chain which should be able to help manage issues with a large recognised intermediary who is offering bookings in it's name. I have requested reimbursement but not yet received any reply from booking.com after three days. My confidence in booking.com and Marriott has been destroyed.
