Our stay was disappointing. Overpriced...

Liked: The breakfast was okay for Continental style breakfast. We actually expected more from the description on the website. They were doing construction so I understand that there was some concessions that had to be made.
Disliked: The conditions of the rooms were awful. The rooms were dirty. There were stains and garbage on the carpets, the showers were in bad shape, looked like it was about to fall in. Several of the rooms had non-functional TVs. Rooms were very humid and uncomfortable.

Disliked: Construction-not a problem all things must be maintained in order to continue to have nice things, however either the crew is messy and don’t care or house keeping needs to check behind them. There was paint/puddy stain in the carpet down the hall wall. Splatter of white in my room floor, not little spots quarter/half dollar size, easy to see size spots. There was some thin white paint or plaster remaining in the tub. I think has a lot to do with a messy construction crew. On another note, the hotel is not the easiest to find when you’re not from the area. I could see the sign, but for some reason gps took me to a near by hotel.

Liked: I did like the location and convenience of being right off the highway.
Disliked: The pool was closed for construction, the gym was closed for construction. There were holes in the walls. The sheets were not clean. The back door at the bottom of the stairs was left unlocked and unsecured all night. The elevator was jumpy during the trip up to the 3rd floor and felt unsafe. We took the stairs everything we went to and from our rooms. We even took our luggage up the stairs.

Liked: It’s close to the USM campus
Disliked: The lady that checked us in was not only totally incompetent, she was rude. A few people were in line attempting to check in (all with confirmation numbers) and it took nearly an hour and a half to get the room. She kept telling us that “she was training” which I sympathize with. It was her rude behavior towards as that was totally uncalled for. I will NEVER stay at the property again under ANY circumstances. Anyone who chooses to employ someone like that in the hospitality business does not deserve my business. To add insult to injury, the property has charged my card twice for more than double the amount that I booked for. I’ll try to get that resolved with the property but will likely just have to call my bank.
