Fall Getaway Favorite
Liked: The location was wonderful, with multiple bar/restaurants within walking distance. The staff was great, especially Shirley our hostess during our continental breakfast. Shirley is a wonderful asset to this hotel, and it's obvious she enjoys making others happy. The hotel was super clean and I always appreciate that! Overall a great place to stay.
Disliked: The pillows were alittle on the crunchy side. That's all I got!😉

My stay was decent. For...
Liked: The building's lobby appeared welcoming, modern and clean. The agent at the desk who welcomed me was professional, pleasant, friendly, articulate and helpful. I appreciated that she was the same person who assisted me with check-out on Sunday. It's nice to see a familiar face.Parking on-site in convenient. Location was optimal for attending an event across the street at the DL Pavilion. The room appeared modern and comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The a/c was great, and while it was cycling 'on' its sound provided a good amount of white noise to mask other noise from external sources, like upstairs condo-dweller and the traffic going by outside. In the tub/shower, there are secured to the wall pump-dispensing bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I used only the body wash and enjoyed its light fragrance. There were a couple packages which contained a make-up removing towelette available for use, and the bathroom linens I used appeared clean and in good shape.Breakfast was good. I enjoyed some scrambled eggs and a turkey sausage patty along with a toasted English muffin and coffee. They had two waffle irons positioned and heated-up for making-your-own, biscuits and sausage gravy, a bowl of cut-up melons, juice dispenser of 2 different kinds, individual serving-size cartons of milk and containers of yogurt, muffins, bagels and bread, oranges and bananas. There had been a dry-cereal dispenser of 3 or 4 different cereals; however, I watched as it was removed from the counter (because, as I heard workers say, there were no more 'disposable' bowls to put out for guests). All of the food and beverage service ware were disposable products - paperboard, and both clear and black plastics.
Disliked: More attention should be given to the cleanliness of the bathroom sink, counter and tub/shower. The counter around the sink had remains of previous customers' toiletry products (toothpaste, maybe), there were white spots of residue (likely toothpaste foam) clinging to the tiling behind the sink faucet and underneath the mirror, and there were various lengths and types of hairs clinging to the sink basin; clearly, it had not been thoroughly wiped "clean". There were also hairs clinging to the tub and to the shower wall, and there were pale-colored 'splatters' of some toiletry products on the shower wall as well.Going into the the room beyond the bathroom, I saw on the carpeting, glinting in the sunlight, long hairs that had not been vacuumed up, as well as other dirt and debris that missed the suction of a vacuum cleaner.Being on the third floor, you are subjected to the sounds of people living above in a condo. When someone up there is peeing in their toilet, you'll hear that (fairly loud and clear, including the 'pauses'), unless, maybe, you're listening to music or the t.v. at volume. As they're moving around their space on foot and doing things in their abode, you'll hear that, and so, too, when they're uttering human vocal sounds.Given the motel's use of disposable products for serving food and beverages, and the amount of waste generated by those products, the motel and the staff there might consider clearly identifying which product is "recyclable" (that is, IF the town offers "recycling" service to businesses), which is "waste", and also clearly indicate where each product can be disposed of - either in the "recycle" bin or in the "waste" bin.
