It was fine, but I...

Liked: The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great!
Disliked: The lobby was clean, well lit, and nice. The guy at the reception desk was friendly and efficient. We got to the room and opened the door to a blast of arctic wind; the air conditioner was set to 62 and the room was freezing when we arrived. The carpet in the room felt slightly damp for some reason? The tub could use recaulking, the metal trim around the bathroom door at least could stand to be sanded and repainted. The state of the room and the bizarre (and hung off-center) art made the whole place feel kind of cheapy :( The pool was really cold and pretty small. The first day we were there the pool was clean but there were no towels. The second day, the ground around the chilly little pool was littered with garbage (mostly candy wrappers) and there was stuff floating in the pool..but there were towels. Honestly I picked this hotel for it's proximity to our event and the indoor pool, but the pool is so small and cold it isn't that fun for that long. The parking lot was ok.. when we came back from our event in the evening, we parked on the side and used the back door...the back door just pulled open and slammed shut on its own. I believe the back door is broken, the reception guy had to come close it for us after we entered it. The beds were fine. The wifi is locked up unless you create a marriott bonvoy loyalty account or something? I thought that was pretty annoying. I'm paying good money to be there and I can't access the wifi unless I'm willing to subject myself to spam emails? Come on

The room was expensive in...

Liked: All of the staff I encountered were pleasant and professional. The bed was comfortable for sleeping.
Disliked: There was no chair in the room. The only place to sit was on the bed. I have never encountered a motel/hotel room without a chair. Also, there were no extra blankets in the room.Some of the room fixtures are old; the commode is very low.The giant television is very much out of proportion for the room.

Liked: The night gentleman who checked us in was awesome. Very helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast could have had a few more options.

Exceptional

Great place!

Liked: Madeline, the food lady, was friendly and helpful. The eating area was clean and well stocked. Tyler was accommodating for an extended checkout. The food was good. Bed was comfortable. Great stay.
Disliked: Sheena (manager maybe?) seemed to be more into her phone than her job. Ran out of bananas. (Not serious)Little mold in the caulking around the bathtub. It was clean, but silicone caulking should be replaced with mold resistant caulking.
