Fantastic Fairfield

Liked: Cosy, comfy with attentive, but not intrusive staff. Ideal location, well worth a visit

Great stay. Definitely recommend!

Liked: We had a great stay at Fairfield House Hotel. Our room was huge, immaculately clean and included a lovely roll top bath. The bed was comfortable and we both had a good night's sleep. To top things off we had a beautiful sea view to sit and admire. The restaurant had a varied menu some offers a lovely atmosphere and great service. Or evening meal and breakfast were both 10/10. Having leisure facilities was a nice little bonus to start our day. Staff were available helpful and friendly. We would definitely return and recommend others to visit.Note that the property doesn't have a lift so request a room on the ground floor if required if possible.

Liked: The staff were very good. The food was old fashioned but good. Ayr is nice.
Disliked: A sleepless night due to a faulty extractor fan and wafer thin walls in the very poorly renovated upper floors. A cheap cowboy job with multiple design and finishing errors. The so called leisure centre is a joke. Like something from the 70s. Smelly and drafty , scruffy and dangerous with the main entrance for hotel people straight into a slippery wet floor before you get to the drafty dated gym. Pool not heating, jacuzzi not working, sauna ok. Changing rooms horrid. General manager refused to call me despite numerous reminders and he had his staff fib for him.”tied up” “in a mtg” when he actually states in writing that he was “off work”. Offered a voucher for my sleepless night. Useless as I live 7 hours away and have no reason to be in Ayr again soon. A nice location and good staff let down by a terrible manager and a tragic and obvious lack of investment. The groups motto is perfect for every customer. They have failed fundamentally and should be ashamed. Thank you .

Lovely characterful hotel in a...

Liked: We enjoyed our stay in Blenheim, a wonderfully decorated room with loads of character. Glimpsing the sea was also a bonus. Great freshly cooked breakfast too. Next time we'll use the spa. What a lovely place right next to the beach and just a short walk to the town centre.
Disliked: it was all great.
