A warm welcome awaits you at this privately owned 4-star hotel a fully restored and refurbished Victorian mansion house situated on Ayr's seafront recapturing the essence of country house hospitality. Great care has been taken to preserve the unique character of this charming house while every modern facility has been discretely installed for the comfort of today's discerning traveler with easy access to the nearby Glasgow Prestwick Airport. I would recommend the hotel....

Liked: The room was beautiful. Very big with beautiful bathroom
Disliked: The spa is quite run down. The layout isn’t great. The pool water tasted weird. The jacuzzi was out of order.

A comfortable and enjoyable stay,

Liked: Comfortable bedroom, excellent acoustics in the main restaurant, access to an on site swimming pool and gym, ample parking space.
Disliked: Difficulty in operating the bedroom shower without wetting the bathroom floor and problems with toilet flushing mechanism and condensation on the mirror. The lift was also not working during our two night stay on the second floor,

Lovely hotel, staff excellent and...

Liked: We stayed here for 2 days after storm eowyn damaged our electrics.. so it was a haven for us. Fabulous location with great pool, sauna and steam room. Direct access to beach walks and great sunsets over the Isle of Arran.
Disliked: We stayed in the Churchill Suite which was well appointed - however, the lounge had absolutely no furnishings- as in floor or table lamps, cushions on the couches, bowls of flowers or plants, so very bare and not very welcoming.
