This hotel is in violation...

Liked: I liked that this hotel is now under investigation by an arm of the US government with regards to an alleged violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act for first trying to deny accommodations for me and my government authorized service animal then, after they read the service animal authorization form from the Veterans Administration, they demanded a $150 deposit or else I could not check in. To make matters worse, they now refuse to refund the deposit even though my service animal did not do any damage. Spread the word about these unscrupulous and unpatriotic people. A disabled veteran should never be treated this way in the United States.
Disliked: I didn't like the disrespect they showed toward a disabled veteran. When I was checking in, my service animal was by my side as usual. The manager immediately pointed to a huge sign that read no pets allowed. When I presented him with the official government authorization that designated this dog as an official service animal on the Veterans Administration letterhead, which clearly stated that I am a disabled veteran and that my service animal was prescribed by government doctors. The letter even cited the Americans with Disability Act including the section regarding housing and related accommodations required in the Act. This confusion happens every time I travel but always ends once they have seen the paperwork. But not at Fairfield Inn & Suites. This time the manager called their Superior and was instructed to charge me an additional $150 deposit in case of damages. Instead of arguing with the manager I allowed them to charge my credit card for $150 knowing that this 10 + year-old service animal has never damaged any of the rooms we stayed at so I would get my money back in the end. UPDATE: It's been 48 days since I checked out and I still have not received my money back. But now they are claiming the deposit had nothing to do with my service animal and was just one of their policies. BS. They are now claiming that the reason I did not receive my deposit back was because I broke the arm off of a desk chair in the room. I admitted that I had moved the chair up against the the counter/desk and that when it touched, the arm fell off. When I inspected the chair in an attempt to fix it, I noticed a large build up of some sort of adhesive they had used in the past in an attempt to fix this same chair. They are saying that they are keeping the deposit that they only required once they realized I had a service animal to pay for a chair that was already broken and poorly repaired before I ever set foot in their hotel.

Liked: The bed was comfy, it was quiet.
Disliked: I booked this hotel because it said there was an indoor pool. But the pool area looked dark deserted and had a sign posted that pool was closed. There was cockroaches in the bathroom area that I seen when I got up during the night to use the bathroom.
