Liked: After reading so many bad reviews I was really scared of what I had gotten myself into after changing my booking to Facade Hotel last minute. While I understand some of the complaints I would stay here again.Both ladies that checked me in and out were lovely. And every other hotel worker, including cleaning ladies, were always super polite. When my card didn't work to pay the 50€ deposit they let me go in and relax for a bit and leave the deposit later, whenever I could, which was great of them.I love how old the building is, so full of character, but yes, that does come with a price: the walls are thin, the rooms are small (which they tell you in the room description), the staircases are tight, windows are old and thin so noise and cold get through them, all of these things are to be expected in an old building. Having said that, none of it was an issue. The room size was okay for one person, most of the guests were quiet, and there wasn't much noise outside past 10 pm.Unlike most comments I've seen, my room was clean, my bed made every day, my trash emptied, new (super soft) towels were given every morning.There's two sets of curtains to give you privacy and to keep the bedroom dark at night.There's a small safe in the room, hanging space behind the door, hooks next to a full length mirror, shelves in the bathroom and space behind the bed to put more stuff away. There's also a radiator that works great.There's coffee, tea and a beverage machine in the lobby available 24/7 as well.My favourite thing of all, the view of the canal, I could have stayed at that window all day.
Disliked: Much like many other reviews have said, the AC is not working, which is a shame as it would be easier to control the temperature in the bedroom, but they're honest about that when you check in. Small word of advice, keep the door to your bathroom open after you've turned on the radiator in the bedroom, otherwise the bathroom will be absolutely freezing.Although I wasn't too uncomfortable, I have to mention again that the room is small and the bathroom is really tight, if you're bigger or have mobility issues it will be a problem. If only they had a smaller sink most of the issues would be gone.My biggest issue was the pillows and mattress, they're not very comfy, and the mattress moved around at night so I'd have to put it back in place every morning.The bedroom was pretty clean, but there was mold on the shower curtain and on the ceiling next to the shower head, an easy fix. You could tell they're trying to improve just by looking at the freshly painted ceilings and caulk around the bathroom, but these things take time.

Disliked: Facade is a good name for the hotel your photographer should get a pay rise no way on earth should that room be sold for two people ..I know hotel rooms are smaller in the city but I couldn't even put my socks on or get dressed it was that small no kettle for a cup of tea in the morning unless you went downstairs for 2 euros and a paper cup

Liked: Worst ever experience,, Fake property , address was wrong we did not stay their after 8 hours struggle we got keys from a very wrong address and as soon we got in we came out in 10 minutes returned back those keys ,, full of bugs cocroches, very very very dirty with poop smell all over , dustbin were full of bin ,, urine smell,, opened vine bottle were there ,, I have all pics and videos you can contact me for this...I complained booking.com but they did not refund us ..161 euros loss
Disliked: Please refund my full amount 161 euros as it is fraud property ...wrong address...worst ever experience

Liked: The location of the property was about 5 minute-walk from Central Station.
Disliked: Nothing. Though it would have been nice if it had a lift/elevator.

Great location but wouldn’t stay...

Liked: Very clean, great location and the staff were always friendly
Disliked: Noisy early hours of the morning and really late at night, half the hotel was being renovated as guests were coming in and out
