Great start to a NZ...

Liked: Brilliant location in the heart of the shopping centre and waterfront but so quiet

Wouldn’t do it if I...

Liked: Location was about the only nice thing
Disliked: There was a terrible cologne/perfume smell everywhere in the lobby and hallways, our tv shut off every 5 minutes for no reason, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the room we had been given had a shower that splashed everywhere even though we had the curtains fully drawn which meant every part of the floor was wet.

Very under whelming

Disliked: Smelly. Aircon Brocken

Ok but been to much...

Liked: loved the private spa and hot tub. loved the fine tea set and comfy bed
Disliked: lift wasn't working that well and toilet area was very small - only enough room to sit down

Old style charm with old...

Liked: Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Fabulous location.
Disliked: City parking. No desk.

Not a 5 star experience.

Liked: Great location, comfortable bed
Disliked: They couldn't find my reservation when I checked in, then tried to charge me a credit card fee until I questioned what the extra charge was for (I wasn't paying with a credit card), as well as a $400 security deposit which wasn't mentioned when booking. Key card to room initially didn't work, had to be replaced. I pre-arranged a late checkout, but was still interrupted the morning of by the concierge at the normal checkout time to ask why I hadn't left yet. Didn't feel like a 5 star experience.
