Liked: Location
Disliked: One of the hotel staffs was asking me about my relationship with one of my family members. And also accused me that I was not paying for my pet fees even I paid for all family members and also for my pet. No apologies, rude, disrespectful toward women, questioning like a police officer or a judge, judgmental. Another hotel staff opened my room door with his own card without knocking the door.

Very disappointed in this stay....
Liked: Location
Disliked: Platform bed was extremely uncomfortable. The room needed an update as has not been done in 20 years. The closet had no door. I did not feel comfortable in the area.

DC area hotel without paying...
Liked: Hotel was a good value for what we experienced. Location was good. We wanted to visit Washington DC, without paying Washington DC prices. This hotel is about a 10 minute drive to the Metro station, and then a 30 minute train ride into the city. In the past we have stayed much closer to the city, and spent more time driving in with traffic. The room met our needs. The staff was very friendly. While there were items I did not like. If I had to stay at this hotel again, I would do it.
Disliked: The hotel was not dirty. But it was also not clean. Imagine if you dropped in unexpectedly on a friend who had 3 young kids. That would describe the cleanliness. The room was not dirty, but there was some staining in the hallway carpet. The kitchen drawers and counter was dusty. Just several little things that said they try to keep it clean, while devoting as little time as they have to spend on cleaning. As an Extended Stay, many of the other guests are long term occupants. On more than one occasion, I saw a school bus picking up kids for the school day from the hotel. I have no problem with this. Everyone needs shelter. But many of the long term occupants kept propping rocks in outside doors so that they could come and go without needing to swipe in each time, and didn't have to go to the front desk. I have done the same thing at home. And I understand this may be their home, but for us it was a hotel where we wanted that security of knowing the outside doors were not open all day and night. Hotel advertised breakfast. When we checked in, I was told it was a Grab and Go breakfast. Grab and Go means coffee, 3 packets of instant oatmeal, and a few granola bars. When they ran out, they told us that was all they had of those items. Lastly, out room was next to the garbage room. When the garbage room was left open, we could smell it.
