Liked: The staff was nice, and they didn't give us any grief about giving us a new room when we requested one.
Disliked: When we arrived, we discovered that the hotel was gated and that we had not been sent any instructions about what to do. We did get in after using the call button, but some advanced notice would have been nice. The first room we were assigned smelled so heavily of cat pee it was making us dizzy. There was also still hair in the bathtub. We went to the front desk and asked for a different room. The gal working at the welcome desk was very nice and apologized. She said that they hadn't had a chance to clean all the rooms yet as they were short staffed and gave us a new one. We got the sense, however, that the room was so drenched in cat urine that it would never smell clean again.The new room we were given didn't smell at least, but the floors were sticky (we wore socks and/or shoes at all times), there were only 3 pillows (which is an odd number), the remote was GROSS, the furniture was in disrepair, we found a candy wrapper in the tub drain, and the strike plate on the door was the furthest thing from professionally installed...it was the definition of jury rigged. What really blew our minds was the fact that they are actively updating the outside (which didn't seem like it needed it) for beautification but are clearly not doing anything to the inside.The "breakfast" we were offered was on about a 1 foot section of narrow table in the hotel foyer. It consisted of an oatmeal cup, nutragrain bars, and some rather sad mass-produced muffins that were smaller than my fist. There wasn't even a drink option besides black coffee. Our bathroom had shampoo and a bar of soap but no conditioner. The TV, which was poorly positioned to the far left, was bolted to the little dresser. It was so low that we couldn't see it once we laid down on the bed. On our second day, we had to go get our key card reprogrammed because it would no longer work in the door.

Disappointing Experience

Liked: Freeway close. Room was large.
Disliked: Outside of the building is tarped for painting so room was dark and we couldn't open the window. Fridge did not work and we never did get the mini-fridge we requested. No kitchen utensils, pots or pans, etc. No ice machine on property. The breakfast was just coffee and packaged mini muffins. TV was small, the picture was dark and the TV was not mounted on the wall but sitting on the dresser, so too low to see it well. We requested maintenance come try to adjust the picture but they never came to check on it. Check-in staff was unfriendly and gruff. Very disappointing experience.

Liked: Clean room and comfy bed.
Disliked: Inattentive Staff and the foul odor of marijuana from outside workers. In addition, excessive noise outside due to construction/renovation.

Disliked: A lot of noise construction, the hallway carpet was dirty and had a bad odor, the room smelled like cigarette when we check in.

Disliked: It’s extremely sad looking as the entire outside has been removed and they are remodeling. Therefore main areas inside are also worn
