Disliked: Few weeks ago I had a booking here, confirmed and payed for. But when we arrived to check in, the receptionist told us that there was no room available, despite our booking confirmation. The receptionist told us we had to leave and search for money refund through Booking.We found another hotel and as soon we came home we contacted Booking for the money refund. Booking contacted Extended Stay America Select Suites - Melbourne - West Melbourne in an attempt to help me with the refund, but they had no response. Bookings customer service told me they did several attempts to get in touch with the hotel, both by e-mail and phone, but that they had no success, and that I will not be able to get my money back. After this I read a lot of reviews of this hotel and there are several reports of the exact same issue as I am now displaying: People that book and pay for a room that they do not get, and that they are not able to get the money back through customer service. This makes me believe that this might be a systematic way this hotel use to scam customers.I have booked and stayed at probably 60-70 hotels through Booking over the years, and this is the first and only time I had this type of issue. Please beware and keep this in mind when you contemplate to book this hotel.

Liked: Absolutely nothing about this place is remotely acceptable. You could t pay me to stay here.

Liked: I left the hotel at 2 something in the morning there were roaches everywhere.

Liked: We never got to check into the hotel because there was no rooms available so there was nothing we liked about this hotel
Disliked: When we went to check in, there was no rooms left available. They also had people doing drugs outside. The place was nasty and disgusting.

Overall a good stay

Liked: Front desk guy and the girl in the morning. They were very friendly and the only people I felt comfortable talking with. They had full kitchen but you must bring your own pots, plates, forks. toaster, etc. or will get charged to used theirs. Luckily I brought it all.
Disliked: I never like to give a bad review but i have to tell you my experience here. I had book another extended stay in America more downtown, but canceled it because this one was a little cheaper and though more convenient. You get what you paid for. The bed was extremely hard the chair looks like it was peeling and I was to scared to sit on it. The floor in front of the elevator had 3 garbage bags and had some sticky liquid all over the flor. I had to mention it twice and was never cleaned during my stay. This place seem like its just for people coming to work in this location and other weirdos.
