Executive Hotel Le Soleil New York, New York City

Spacious room in fantastic Location

Liked: Very spacious(30sqm) and quiet room compared to everything else we stayed in New York. Sheryl was amazing very friendly and accommodating during our check in. We stayed one night and we identified an issue with the insulation of the windows as we thought that some kind of cold air was coming through them, but we are not sure if this was a general issue or an issue with the specific room we stayed in. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again!

Even though the room was...

Liked: The location was perfect! Discovered restaurants and bars on 36th street and nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean!
Disliked: The rooms are very small even when staying in a deluxe,had to move the desk chair to side of bed to navigate getting to the bathroom. No closet for clothes.

Nice hotel in central NYC

Liked: Wonderful location, and super-quiet (we were on the 16th floor). For some reason we were given an accessible room, but there was plenty of space, and a comfortable bed. It took a while to work out how to control the air conditioning, but we eventually worked it out, and it was pretty effective.The hotel is about 10 min walk from Penn Station, which is super convenient for United Airlines flights from Newark.There's a great bagel place for breakfast about 2 doors down.
Disliked: Our keys expired after 24 hours, and had to be renewed.The amount charged was about $1 higher than we'd agreed to on booking.com.The coffee pods for the coffee machine in the room were pretty dire.Price was a little high - but heck, this is New York ...There's a $22/day "resort fee" surcharge. Grrr. If we'd wanted to use the gym, we'd have been happy to pay for it. And a "complimentary" bottle of cheap water in the room isn't worth the fee.

Short & Enjoyable NYC Stay

Liked: Location- in walking distance to so many NYC attractions and restaurants, size of the room - enough room for my sister in law and I to spread out in our own corner ( sitting area separate from sleeping area) Nice toiletries and shower. Enjoyed the complimentary champagne to celebrate my sister in law birthday. Adequate supply of drinking water and coffee, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff in particular the front desk staff (Mariette ?)
Disliked: No kettle or microwave in the room. Only a coffee machine.
