Excellence exceeding expectations

Liked: I liked pretty much everything. Location is very good, not far from water and market there, good distance to the airport and I was able to reach many interesting places by foot which seems like a rare thing in Miami.Despite the area being pretty busy the room was very quiet, bed was very comfy, AC working nicely, big bathroom where everything worked correctly. Considering other options on booking for a similar price it was an exceptional stay, I give highest notes. Worth mentioning was the staff on the ground floor, very helpful, very professional, generally I never heard that something cannot be done- they went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
Disliked: For this price I cannot honestly say that I didn't like something. My golden standard has always been a bathtub and there was none in my room. They met my other standard (small working fridge). I guess the bathroom could've used lighter colors on the walls so the light would work a bit better when trying to look at my face in the morning? Really everything feels like massive nitpicking considering the positives.

Liked: The location and WIFI was good. The Staff was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Elevator noisy and water kept running in the toilet. Rooms vary and the room did not have space for hanging stuff.

'Cold' atmosphere, no facilities. More...

Liked: To be honest, there was nothing really that I liked about this hotel. See below.
Disliked: The hotel appears to be under construction, which was not advised. I had already stayed in other hotels in Miami for the same prices, and this was completely different. There was no nice 'atmosphere', no social areas e.g. restaurant, bar etc. There was a 'room' upstairs where you could sit, but there were no facilities and nobody there at any time I passed by! So you may as well have been in your bedroom! I had to give $100 when I checked-in (although I had already fully paid). I didn't have to do this in the other hotels. Luckily I remembered to get it back! My first room had a noisy outdoor air conditioning item opposite my door and I asked for a quieter room. The second room had the same thing beside my door! I gave up. I think my room might have been a disability room? The bathroom was very uncomfortable. Especially the shower. And quite dangerous. I almost fell during my first shower. Afterwards, I put one of the towels underneath my feet while I was showering. In the morning, we had to go out the door at the small reception, and into another door for breakfast. No good coffee - the worst coffee (and breakfast) in the hotels I had stayed in, in Miami. Overall, I would definitely not stay there again. I made a very bad choice - but somehow with the pictures online, I had imagined it as different. In the other hotels I stayed in, in Miami, there were swimming pools, bars, restaurants, friendly reception areas, beautiful books to read, games to play and computers to work with.

Liked: Great location in downtown; rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable; and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Water pressure in the bathrooms could sometimes be a bit weak but wasn't an issue overall
