Excellent food and very comfortable

Lovely building, room and atmosphere....

Liked: Breakfast was excellent, as was our evening meal. A very pleasant atmosphere. Car parking facilities were good, and the location of the property was ideal
Disliked: We waited a long time past our dining reservation. We were served drinks, in the bar area by a young lady, who asked the time of our dinner reservation. She then seemed to forget us until we asked for the menus about an hour later. Other people arrived and were given menus straight away. We were very surprised that the hotel and dining room only provided full fat whole milk. We asked for skimmed or semi skimmed, but were told they do not offer these options.

Warm staff, beautiful food

Liked: The restaurant is exceptional. The food is beautiful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming.
Disliked: The room is lovely but needs updating. There were lots of marks and paint chipped away etc which takes away from the luxury feel. The sofa in the bathroom was covered in marks and looked very unclean where you wouldn’t want to sit down on it. I really think taking some time to freshen up the rooms would serve them well so that the quality of the staff and intention of the hotel aligns with the room.
