Very nice rooms. Helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Liked: Sevice; free breakfast; free cocktails; 10 minute easy walk to venue.
Disliked: Check out was 11 am.

Exceptional

The location on the river...

Liked: Beautiful location on the river, at the river walk, relatively new and properly maintained hotel, the Embassy Suites free breakfast with custom-order omelets
Disliked: Expensive for the general geographic location, and it didn't feel like they actively tried to give you value for the money. Plus, you need to pay for parking - in a parking garage that is attached to the hotel, but, after you park, you need to take one elevator down to the lobby level, walk over, and then switch to another elevator to go back up to your room. And the grab-and-go items are way overpriced. The shampoo dispenser in my room was empty. During breakfast, they ran out of forks and coffee mugs - and it was generally a more modest breakfast compared to other Embassy Suites hotels. That is coupled with generally smaller rooms than other Embassy Suites hotels. The fireplace in the lobby was on the first evening, off the second one, as if they were saving on gas. The rooftop bar was closed seasonally, understandably - but why was the rooftop terrace closed? Again, it feels like forced cost cutting.

Disappointing

Disliked: Bathroom was dirty. Cocktails in the afternoon were not good as good as other Embassy Suites I have stayed at.
