Liked: Breakfast staff was excellent! Kind, courteous, prompt. Food was fresh, hot and tasty.
Disliked: Parking accommodations. Only parking was public lots.

Very nice upgrade to downtown...

Liked: Check-in was easy/friendly. Two parking lots provided easy parking next to the hotel. Room was: spacious, clean and quiet. We will return to this specific hotel on our next visit.

Probably the nicest stay in...

Liked: This place is a very nice place! Probably the nicest in Rockford. It was relatively easy to get to, and conveniently located to where I was attending an event in town; it was about a 10-minute walk to the Coronado Theatre. Check-in was extremely easy - I didn't even have to stop at the desk, as the check-in and my digital key were all taken care of through the Hilton app. I even used the chat feature in the app to request a TV remote, as mine was surprisingly missing when I got to the room.I used the city parking lots across the street for parking, which are free after 5 PM and before 8 AM; no problem for me, as I arrived later in the afternoon and left early in the morning.The free breakfast in the lowest level of the hotel was a nice touch, too. They'll make your eggs however you want it, but I opted for waffles and coffee and bacon only. The hotel also hosts an evening cocktail hour for guests, but I didn't partake.
Disliked: It was a little unclear to me on how to partake in the evening welcome cocktail hour, free for guests. But, I didn't stick around long enough to figure it out, so that's on me. My walk-in shower, while otherwise great, had some spots that needed cleaning - a few spots of soap scum on the caulk along the bottom of the tile inside the shower. For a place that fancy, there ought to be no sign of mold/soap scum. But these are otherwise minor issues that would not prevent me from staying at this property again.
