We loved it. Clean, friendly,...

Liked: Amazing place! Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews we LOVED IT! Staff was friendly. Views are gorgeous. Lobby is so clean and they have fresh lemon water for you. Overall an amazing stay for what you pay

Basic but it worked.

Liked: The size of the room was huge, but the bathroom was as tiny as you would expect from a hotel that is 30 years plus old. We were unable to check in when we arrived, around 2:30 PM, which I get was a little early, so we sat in the hotel lobby and waited, clearly in view of staff. An hour later I went and checked again, and we were able to check in. It would have been nice if they came over to tell us, but they were busy talking amongst themselves. The afternoon social was nice, but the bartender was more interested in selling us $3 beers, rather than giving us the free ones, again, I get it, and I tipped anyway, but would have tipped less if I had to pay for the beers. The hotel was in a great location, walking dinner to a great restaurant, Captain Jacks which had great food, so that was a plus. Overall, it was not bad, just some minor thins.
Disliked: Size of the bathroom.

Poor

Liked: The room was not clean as it should have been. They left us without any shampoo and we needed to request it. The elevator next to our room was broken on the day we checked out and staff was unaware of it. We had to go up and down the stairs with our things.

Good property that Hilton should...

Liked: Very nice overall design with a decent pool and hot tub and good complimentary breakfast.
Disliked: Rooms do need an upgrade. Our fridge and microwave didn’t work and the shower had issues. Stayed during the tennis tourney and the price was excessive especially for the quality of the room.

Looks nice but looks can...

Liked: Beautiful property, excellent location.
Disliked: My individual room 212 was worn down. There was a strip of carpet missing in front of the mini fridge which had a staple sticking out of the carpet in that spot that snagged my sock. Obviously water damage to the bathroom door. Stains on the couch. There was no shampoo or shower gel and the tub wouldn’t drain properly. I paid for five people to stay but we weren’t given adequate blankets or towels. There was a tall lamp in the corner that only worked if the plug was partially sticking out of the socket which seemed like a serious safety hazard to my young children. During our stay they were testing the fire alarms which was a terrible experience with my special needs toddler. The breakfast staff refused to give me bacon at breakfast, I was told there is a limit of three pieces of bacon and I explained I was getting food for my three children and was given one additional piece of burnt bacon, this was the first day of my stay, I was frustrated but I figured because my children were not there in person she simply didn’t believe I was getting food for multiple people. The second day of my stay I brought both my two toddlers and my older son to breakfast with me and was still only given three piece of bacon in spite of me making the hotel aware that one of my toddler is special needs with feeding issues, we were not accommodated. While I was sitting in the hot tub an employee came out and turned off the spa to examine the tub while I was in it, I asked if I should get out and they said no but I felt awkward with two male employees just standing by over me looking in. As we were preparing for checkout my sister did her hair with a curling iron at the vanity in the bedroom and it set the smoke detector off, the staff was nice about it but it just added to the discomfort of our stay. Overall this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Hilton property.
