We reserved our room online and chose the 2 double bed options. Family of 4 with 2 small children...reminded the worker at check-in that we had 2 double beds and we were still placed in a room with a King and pull out sofa in the sitting room. Needless for say, for those of you that have small kids- putting a 4 year old and a 1 year old in another room by the front door (which unlocks when you open the door from the inside) separated by a mini kitchen is not the best idea. The hotel had no other rooms so we had to make do- my husband spept with one child and I slept with the other. We've stayed at Embassy Suites in Montgomery before without the kids and it was great, so we were very disappointed with this experience. At least, we should have been told at checkin that our room wasn't available.

Disliked: Staff problems - given wrong room.

I did not stay, but...

Liked: I did not stay at the property because when I got there, the price that was given to me by booking.com was not the price that was given to me at the front desk so I was not able to stay because all I had on me was the price given to me by Booking.com, which was not the price given to me upon arrival it was $50 more and I did not have that so I could not stay. Front desk canceled my booking
Disliked: Well, I did not like it was not necessary upon the property, but with the booking app the price that you gave me was not the price given to me when I got there that is what I did not like because that is all I had on me and this was a holiday so being that it was more than what I had I could not stay. My booking was canceled and my plans for the evening was going down the drain.

Short stay to visit family...

Liked: I liked the upgrades that have taken place since my last visit. The happy hour was a plus, also.
Disliked: I didn't like the additional parking that I paid for (was told weekend street parking was not free), nor did I like that the room wasn't cleaned properly prior to check-in (stains on carpet, tape and paper covering walls where it looked like something may have been posted, etc.)

Liked: Location was very convenient - walkable to restaurants and historic venues.
Disliked: Staff were indifferent. Some furniture in the room was old, broken. Inadequate lighting.

Liked: Breakfast was great. Location was perfect.
Disliked: Barely enough water pressure to wash the soap off your body in the shower. Hairs on the walls as if it hadn't been cleaned well. Hole punched in door going into the bedroom. Couch cushions torn. Room needs repairs and a good cleaning.

Pleasant

Liked: The burgers served at 9 pm were tasty (and the only available food in the entire city).
Disliked: The hotel is close to Union Station so the room was noisy. Old furniture. Need renovation. Paid parking 25 USD.
