We reserved our room online and chose the 2 double bed options. Family of 4 with 2 small children...reminded the worker at check-in that we had 2 double beds and we were still placed in a room with a King and pull out sofa in the sitting room. Needless for say, for those of you that have small kids- putting a 4 year old and a 1 year old in another room by the front door (which unlocks when you open the door from the inside) separated by a mini kitchen is not the best idea. The hotel had no other rooms so we had to make do- my husband spept with one child and I slept with the other. We've stayed at Embassy Suites in Montgomery before without the kids and it was great, so we were very disappointed with this experience. At least, we should have been told at checkin that our room wasn't available.

Poor management/customer care concerns

Disliked: Our room smelled of mildew my husband was up all night with horrible allergies due to the mildew/mold that was in the window seal…Tye Saturday after Valentine’s it stormed and our room window leaked rain.Called down and told the front desk and was told that there were no more vacancies…we could not leave in the middle of a storm.Talked to a desk clerk first thing that morning and was only compensated $25 parking fee for a whole night of no rest due to mildew/mold smellsA manager messaged me stating that my phone number on the reservation wasn’t a good number messaged her back with the same number that’s on my reservation because it was the correct number along with a work number as well as my email and never a word from anyone!!!

Liked: The location, the spaciousness with the living area and lobby area, the complimentary cocktails and breakfast. Pleasant restaurant supervisor.
Disliked: Problem with the elevator, bathtub plug did not work and drain was spitting up gunk & hair. Burned out lightbulbs. The dinner menu in the restaurant was mediocre, as was the food.

Nice but disappointing.

Liked: The room was nice. I did like the separate room for just sitting and watching the tv.
Disliked: I was taken back by the fact that I was going to have to pay $30.00 for Handicap parking that was in the hotel parking lot and just across from the front doors or go through an arm into the parking lot just across from the handicap parking spot we had parked in to go check in and pay $25.00. So It astonishes me that you would charge $5.00 more for a handicapped parking spot than a regular spot and that you charged at all for parking. It wasnt a secure parking lot we walked over the grassy area into the next parking area. It wasnt disclosed in the reservation online that there was even going to be a charge for parking or that we had to pay a $50.00 deposit upon check in. The trash can in the bathroom has some kind of black crud on the silver rim of the can. It needs a good cleaning. Undisclosed fees will keep us from using this hotel again.

Liked: Liked the open hallways and our whole group of 95 women were in same hotel.
Disliked: They didn’t refresh or restock the coffee bar in the room. So no coffee available on second day. It took clerk a long time to check us out - she said her computers were slow. Dated rooms and lobby. Only one bartender - it took forever to get a drink and we left without one - only two other people sitting at bar. Disappointing for an Embassy suite -not worth the cost.
