Every Embassy Suites employee I encountered was amazing. Needed to switch rooms because of construction noise - no problem, it was handled quickly without an issue. Needed a late check out time for Sunday since my son was racing in the evening and he needed to eat and sleep before finals - once again, no problem. Wished my son good luck. It was all the little things like wishing my kid good luck that made the experience better than I expected it to be. Now I need to let Embassy Suites higher-ups know directly just how great their staff were during our stay.

Liked: The hotel is currently under renovations but the staff do an amazing job keeping the noise and dust from construction to a minimum.
Disliked: I expected the rowdy Big 10 Championship fans to be very loud when they returned but the staff once again did an amazing job in controlling the situation for us swim parents.

Hotel great; room great; breakfast great; happy hour great. It was perfect location and everyone was so helpful!

A once great place, now...

Liked: We got there early and were able to check in 2 hours ahead.
Disliked: Bed frame squeaked every time there was movement on the bed. The box springs were pinching the metal frame, causing the noise (1616). 2 of the 4 main elevators were out of service. For the price, we expected more out of breakfast. We have had better at Best Western. Parking was 46 a night, but I did read that before we made the trip. The downtown area has lost most of the stores in the mall. The temp was 5 degrees while we were there, so the indoor access was great, but there was no place to go with all the stores vacant.

Liked: The location was great, and there were plenty of places to shop and eat.
Disliked: They had leaks going up the entrance way steps that lead to the street, which need to be repaired. This could cause a major slip and fall.

Overall, very satisfactory.

Liked: The location was excellent. Room was comfortable. The staff was very helpful.
Disliked: I use a walker or scooter. Getting around the facility was difficult, a maze of various elevators and ramps. The height of the bed was so high. I would think almost anyone middle age or older would have trouble with it.
