Disliked: This property certainly did not demonstrate the Hilton brand of hospitality or customer service. Our family experience was so disappointing because of the lack of responsiveness of staff. Examples -waited over an over for pool towels to be replenished so that children could dry off before going into to hotel. Check-in for one room was around 530pm despite 4pm check-in time. Prior to arrival attempts to contact the hotel directly were futile. The phone system drops call or you are advised to call back because they are unable to take call. Complimentary evening reception was veggies and ranch dip; very different from other Embassy Suites that I have stayed at previously. Bar service for the hour and half was two bartenders so wait times were very long. After paying close to $450 per room for my family I could not justify the price and felt it was simply overpriced (no value). I will say the location was nice and convenient to restaurants and shops. Another major issue was my family member was asked to provide a credit card for incidentals. She was unaware that they would charge her for the hotel bill. I had provided my credit card for both rooms and was shocked when they emailed my receipts after my stay. Only after several calls and intervention from Hilton Customer Service was I able to get the situation corrected. I do want to acknowledge that the hotel supervisor Rebecca was great in the end. My advice is to consider another property for Ft. Lauderdale.

Disliked: There was a misunderstanding with my room selection, it did get corrected, however I was made to feel like I didn't know what type of room I booked, which I completely knew what I booked. The outside facilities specifically around pool was lacking. I did not get room cleaning two days in a row and had to request it. The last night after requesting room cleaning, someone knocked on our door and left a bag with towels and left. I did speak with the manager regarding the situation.

Liked: Loved the breakfast - it was excellent! Loved the room. Loved the location. Loved the security.
Disliked: On-line advertising a little misleading - we thought all rooms had a balcony with table and chairs; would have been nice to have cheeze/fruit/cold cuts options for evening reception instead of just vegetables
