Liked: The location is unbeatable. And the view from the rooms facing Marion Square is great.
Disliked: Place feels very 1980s. Not very clean, breakfast room doesn’t have enough tables for guests, breakfast is not quality.

Liked: The room was spacious
Disliked: This hotel needs a refurb. It's not inherently bad, it's just for this much money you'd expect a lot more. Breakfast was included but not great. There's a happy hour but the bar area is soulless and the nibbles fairly awful.

Overall good, I was only...

Disliked: The room seemed to be decaying. From condensation, falling plaster, peeling paint, mold in tub. The decor made me feel like I was in a motel 6.

Disappointing

Live coming to visit Charleston....

Liked: It is centrally located and near lots of sites to visit, shopping and dining.
Disliked: Although I love the historical location the room interior and bathrooms are in dire need of renovation to current design, technology and decor. The bathrooms especially need some updating.

Liked: The staff was very helpful and responsive and the location is fantastic!
Disliked: The building is showing its age and the cost did not match the state of the rooms. The couch had large, gross stains, the shower did not work properly, and the pillows and bed were not comfortable.
