Great spot in Banff!

Liked: The loft style room was a great option for us so we could have some space to lounge after a long day of adventures without just sitting on the beds. Gave us some added privacy too!The staff were also very helpful and the hot tub and sauna were perfect after skiing. Location wise most of Banff is pretty walkable from this hotel, even in the deep cold of February, and there are excellent restaurants within a few blocks.
Disliked: The rooms aren’t that sound proof (you can hear the party in the room next door) and there is some sort of constant buzzing noise. But the hotel provides earplugs so this wasn’t an issue for sleeping. Just something for guests to be mindful of.

$100 for 24 hours of...

Liked: Everything was good except things that would require serious inquiry/renovation, hence why it hasn't been done.
Disliked: Thin walls, the pipes or something make this insane CRACK noise every half hour or so, which wakes you up without ear plugs (and sometimes it is so loud, even with ear plugs). Lots of plumping noise. The bed is weirdly uneven and hard - these all make for poor sleep which is the worst faux pas a hotel can make. I think the worst thing might be how inaccessible the parkade is - 6'1" clearance is totally absurd and unacceptable. We paid 100 DOLLARS FOR 24 HOURS of street parking. A total scam. I wouldn't go back until this is remediated. We are not comfortable leaving our vehicle like 6-7 blocks away at a train station, welcoming getting robbed, just because it's free. Especially when it is soooo cold out. Not an appropriate suggestion. Therefore, it doesn't matter how great the staff are or how nice it looks in photos. Also pretty ridiculous there's no continental breakfast included in all stays. Rip off +++

Great rooms, friendly staff.

Liked: Very clean, easy parking, friendly staff.
Disliked: There is no casual lounge area to sit down at with food and beverage service. I was waiting for friends to arrive around 6pm and the only place to sit with a drink was at a table in the restaurant.

Clean and comfortable hotel in...

Liked: The updated design and renovations. The efficient a/c. The offer of fruit in reception. Ski lockers offered at no cost. All the little areas to have a coffee and chat in and around reception. The Sunshine shuttle was within 20 meters of the hotel.
Disliked: The loft rooms need a lot more drawers and hanging space. There’s lots of room upstairs in the bedroom area. We found we left clothes in the suitcase.
