Superb location, grand old staircase,...

Liked: Breakfast selection was amazing, the reception staff was superb as was the barman. Pity the gym is way down in the basement and walk way to reach it not so pleasant to the eye. I would def recommend it.
Disliked: If the gym was in a better location and all the staff smiled more. Breakfast staff taste juice in the morning before putting it to for the client to have, one morning this was fermented. Also there was one waiter that was touching the bread with his bare hands that is a real no, no...

Booked a twin room but...

Liked: + Good selection of non-dairy products for breakfast+ The room (Deluxe room) was spacious and silent with a comfortable bed and pillows (plural)+ Good location within walking distance from the train station + Really cool interior in the common rooms
Disliked: - Specifically requested and was confirmed a Twin bed room, but got a double room where the beds had been pulled apart about 30 cm. A twin room is a room where the beds are meant to be apart from the beginning, preferably further away from each other than an arms length... In a room of this size they should be placed in entirely different parts of the room... Very disappointing. Don't say it's a twin room when it's not.- The breakfast room might be beautiful, but it's severly lacking in soundproofing. It was very loud in there, which is a problem and very stressful for someone who like me is highly sensitive to noise.

Stay here when In Sundsvall

Liked: Old world hotel, fabulous lobby, amazing old style bar, good breakfast. We had a loft room, super cool, the stars are a little tricky but such a cool room. 3 days there and could have stayed longer. Sundsvall is a beautiful city, this hotel is in the middle of it, there is good dining all around it.
Disliked: The bar was closed Sunday and Monday, really disappointed but we bought some beer elsewhere and could sit in it which was almost as good as getting a good Scotch and enjoying it.
