I will return on every...

Liked: Far exceeded my expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom luxurious-including very nice and plush towels. The service was spectacular in the restaurant, reception, beach and golf cart service. This resort is 5 star!
Disliked: It was all perfect. And I am super selective and picky about resort selection.

Liked: The rooms were really spacious and clean. The amenities were good and the kids loved the lagoon.
Disliked: Some of the staff were pretty rude, especially one of the men behind the counter at the pool cafe. We were told not to worry about booking the restaurant for dinner then when we turned up we were told there wasn't room the accomodate us. There was melted ice cream and crap everywhere around the lagoon pool - this could have been kept a lot cleaner / neater. The waitresses around the pool were absolutely fantastic, but were run off their feet // it was obviously understaffed. Adruna was particularly fantastic.

Liked: Super relaxing, everything was in walking distance and perfect couples getaway, with a slice of heaven and luxury. Spa treatments were amazing definitely go back!

Beautiful Setting, Disappointing Experience for...

Liked: The rainforest and natural surroundings are absolutely lovely. The trail through the forest was nice - peaceful, full of birds and truly relaxing.The hotel is overpriced for what it offers. Our villa felt worn out, not particularly clean, and even had visible dirt on the toilet walls. The much-praised adults-only pool was fine, but nothing special.The food at the main restaurant was delicious, fresh and served in portions that were honestly too big for us. Kudos to the chefs!Service, unfortunately, didn’t quite meet expectations. I usually don’t place too much importance on staff attentiveness, but in this case, it impacted the experience. Despite the hotel being nearly empty, we constantly had to go out of our way to get drinks at the bar or flag down waiters during dinner.During breakfast, it was disappointing to see four staff members gathered nearby, chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to guests. Dirty dishes weren’t cleared promptly, no assistance was offered when the coffee machine broke, and no one checked in to see if we needed anything else from the menu. It felt like they were just waiting for the shift to end rather than being present for the guests.That said, a big shoutout to Isabel at the reception and the bartender (didn’t catch his name) for their professionalism and attention. You two stood out - thank you!One more thing: charging an extra AUD 300 for a late checkout (almost the price of another night) seems a lot. We were allowed to stay at the bar and go for a walk in the forest until our pickup at 2pm, however, cutting off access to Wi-Fi? That felt petty especially in low season when the hotel is half empty.All in all, I expected much more from a luxury 5-star hotel.
