Nice peaceful place to relax...

Liked: Very nice location, right next to the Yarra River not in a super busy area. Easy access to public transport. Very nice library/study area and cafe.
Disliked: Nothing. All was great

Despite what I didn't like...

Liked: I only asked if the restaurant was dog friendly once so we could celebrate my husband's birthday and never thought any more of it. Upon checking in, they took that one line I typed and upgraded our room to a spacious balcony room and had a bottle of bubbly on ice waiting for us on arrival. They were so dog friendly and provided a dog menu which we didn't use because my dog is on a strict prescription diet but I would have in his younger years.
Disliked: The room service food was quite awful. The chips and penne were like they just came from the fridge despite the cloche covering. The penne was really quite basic and I think they must just use a bottle leggos sauce or something. The shampoo and body wash must contain a lot of preservatives because it made my skin very dry and I could barely run a comb through my hair.

Disliked: Shampoo and conditioner together is horrible. Coffee machine at breakfast was pretty ordinary.

Clean and modern out of...

Liked: The tram stop outside the hotel was very useful. The location suited us as we wanted to be able to get to Richmond and to see friends at the end of the tram line. The hotel is out of town, situated on a dual carriageway adjacent to a business park but there is pleasant park land on the other side of the road. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The shower was the best hotel shower we have ever had. Very spacious and with reliable hot water.
Disliked: The sound insulation didn't really block out the traffic noise on the road side of the hotel though it didn't prevent us from sleeping. The air conditioning made the corridors quite cold and we had to pass through an icy arc to get to our room. The outer areas of the restaurant were rather chilly at times too. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for lunch at the weekend and also on Sunday evening as this is not an area with lots of nearby eating places. I had expected to receive a summary of our bill at check out as there was something i wished to check in person. I was told that it would be emailed to me but it never was - even after an email request on my part.
