Disappointing

It was a highly overpriced...

Liked: It was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Their marketing of the hotel was exceptional, did not even come close to my expectations.
Disliked: The hotel is described as a hotel and spa. Far from it. Upon arrival I asked about services offered. The clerk said massages but they were completely booked. I later looked online and it was simply greyed out. I don’t believe they have anyone available to do any “spa” services. They barely have one person staffed during the day to check people in and be of any other assistance you may need. We were told upon arrival that they have a “light” continental breakfast consisting of entirely prepackaged food. It literally was packaged bagels, single serve cereal containers of frosted flakes and Apple Jacks, a couple of packages boiled eggs in the refrigerator and some cartons of milk. It looked like someone went to the gas station and bought it. Interestingly enough, we were also told that there would be no staff available after about 9 pm, when they locked the front door. But if we needed any snacks there is a Shell station around the corner that “has very good snacks”. Of course if they were needed to return to the hotel, there is a phone number posted and we could call to have someone call them to return.The spa that is referenced in their very misleading advertisement is simply an outdoor jacuzzi and a couple of saunas ,one of which smelled moldy to me. Two rooms with signs on the doors that massages were in session. It was like being in a ghost town.Our room was clean enough, just a layer of dust on the padded headboard. Obviously it had not been wiped down in a while. The bathroom was clean and we were provided enough towels for our stay. The bedding had a plastic feel to it, but the bed itself was comfortable.Overall we made the best of it, but the hotel is very secluded, about a 8-10 minute walk to the beach. The few staff members we encountered during our stay were friendly and nice. But a very misleading advertisement. We were expecting so much more and were very disappointed in the accommodations. There really were no extra amenities.

Disliked: We did not like how loud the cleaning lady was in theThe smell in the room was a little off settingThey called our room right at 11 o’clock to tell us to get out probably could’ve gave us an extra 15 minutes instead of feeling rushedThe coffee machine is not a true Keurig like listed on the websiteAnd again the Jacuzzi didn’t look like the website, but weAnd there was no toilet paper

Quality hotel next to the...

Liked: Large rooms, fireplace, good location. Large bed.
Disliked: Lack of coat hangers.

Nice to start a vacation...

Liked: The steam room and spa tub, comfortable bed, cozy fireplace, super clean, very nice staff, good parking, green forest view, hear the ocean even though their are no ocean view rooms, nice boardwalk to ocean.
Disliked: The breakfast was “corporate” with no fresh food as part of it. Plastic wrapped bagels, donuts, pastries, cereal, milk. No in-room microwave, poor WiFi
