This quirky little hotel was everything we hoped it would be. We were able to check in and out seamlessly. We loved the detailed decor and the room was clean and comfortable. We were sad that we didn’t have time to enjoy the outdoor area because of how brief our stay was. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Phoenix, and hope to catch a live performance!

Disliked: Only complaint is the $15 charge for parking in the parking lot.

Superb

Liked: No breakfast included, but they had bagels to buy! The pool was very shallow but worked to cool off in. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room so I'd recommend to buy breakfast before arrival.
Disliked: Our room had glass from a broken glass or similar from previous guests, so the cleaning was a bit under par. However, when we pointed this out the staff really took care of us and we got a discount on the room which felt fair. I would stay here again.

Cool vibe, a bit overpriced

Liked: The overall vibe of the hotel was great. Nice decoration and creative style.
Disliked: Airco sounded like a jet engine taking off. Very hard to watch TV. The room smelled too much like chloride. I was charged 15$ at check in for a parking place which was then taken by another car. Luckily the charge was reversed but I had to park in the street. No breakfast.

Liked: The staff were incredible, the onsite restaurant and bar were fun and the rooms were very well appointed and cool!
Disliked: Nothing! We will certainly be back!

Excellent stay in a quirky...

Liked: Great decor and very comfortable bed. Excellent location and Chilte restaurant is superb. The retro fittings are superb.
Disliked: Door to room did not close and lock easily from outside. Needed a slam.

Like hard rock hotel but...

Liked: The funky nature of the place, was fun and not the usual corporate hotel
Disliked: Although we were informed of some casual music was to be played from 9pm to midnight, we were only informed weeks after booking. The music was not casual. The music was the loudest base I’ve ever heard whilst trying to sleep. It was as if the speakers were aimed at the bedroom door! They were aid at the door. Music and chatter continued to 3am. No sleep was possible and we commenced work from 6am.

Disliked: Would have liked to know about the loud event going on before I booked this hotel, didn’t mind it much but it is definitely not a quiet hotel when there is an event going on.

Liked: It was in a good location for my needs. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. and shower worked fine. The rooms and hotel in general are 'long in the tooth' but decorated in a funky retro look that made it fun to be there. The front desk was a window but they had good beer available at all times. The house restaurant, Chilte, was excellent but pricey. There is a MacDonald's down the street but I wouldn't recommend going there. I was expecting it to be noisy at night based on other reviews and the ear plugs they provide bedside but it wasn't noisy at all during my stay. My room was on the second floor. Downtown Phoenix has a big gap in hotels priced from $90 for sketchy motels to $300+ for name brands. This was somewhere in the middle and a little pricey for what it was but I would stay there again.
Disliked: Could not connect to wifi.
