The most wonderful stay!

Liked: I don’t quite know where to begin. We had the most amazing stay here last weekend to celebrate our wedding. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and went exactly to plan. We were so sad to leave after the weekend was over. We will 100% be back next year to celebrate our anniversary.The rooms are decorated so very tasteful. The bed was extremely comfortable and large. The staff helped us with anything we needed and were all so polite and wished us well with our marriage. Breakfast was very tasty. They even kept the bar open for us a little later so that we could celebrate with a champagne when we got in on Saturday evening.Thank you to everyone at the Egerton House hotel for the best wedding weekend and the most wonderful memories.

Liked: The staff is very nice and also the breakfast is delicious. I like that they offer to bring you the breakfast in room free of charge.
Disliked: It is a lovely but old building so you can hear every everything from the other rooms, even the steps on the floor, especially from the people staying upstairs

We would stay again but...

Liked: Attention to detail at a very high standard. The service was outstanding. Everyone that works at the hotel was friendly and delightful. Excellent dining recommendations and other suggestions to make our visit even more memorable. Understated luxurious decoration throughout the property. Great bar. Those fabulous martinis! Very comfortable bed and bedding. Attractive bath with heated floor. Excellent bath products. Tea light lit at evening room turndown. Delicious shortbreads and pillow carmel fudge.
Disliked: Our room was beautifully appointed. Truly lovely. But the room was so small that it was cramped and uncomfortable for two smallish people. We needed to use the desk in the room for some unexpected business during our stay but there wasn’t room to pull out the chair and sit at the desk as it was so close to the foot of the bed. The light in the closet went out and even though we asked twice for it to be repaired it still wasn’t working when we checked out. The breakfast is absurdly expensive. In our three week travels in York, the Lake District, the Cotswolds, Cornwall and Southern England we stayed at a number of 3 and 4 star hotels. Most served a much nicer continental and hot breakfast that was included in the room charge. The Egerton’s continental breakfast was not as good and priced at 32 pounds it felt almost like an insult.

Liked: Absolutely perfect stay for my daughter and me! The staff were so helpful and spoiled us in every way! The location was extremely safe and convenient! The Egerton will be the only place I stay on future trips to London!
