Liked: The location meant we saw, on foot easily, beyond Salamanca snd around to the lovely Battery Point area.John was a good host and breakfast was plentiful - self serve.

Liked: Wonderful and welcoming service. Great for local knowledge and guidance. Felt like I was coming home, very warm. Exceptional facilities.
Disliked: It would have been nice if the other guests that were staying had respected the shared facilities. We felt like we were being over run when they came into the dining area, and felt pushed out.

Liked: Lovely big room with comfortable beds and a heater for the room and bathroom and electric blankets (it was cold outside). The breakfast room was well supplied with DIY foods and John was a friendly, relaxed host. The house is old and a bit tired but very clean.
Disliked: The house needs some refurbishment but that didn't spoil the visit and it was much more interesting and characterful than a standard chain hotel.
