Very good

Liked: The accommodation was a good value for money . I needed a short stay just for sleep and location to be walking distance to train station . The staff was friendly , room clean and warm .
Disliked: The soundproofing can be improved . At 7 am I could hear a teacher knocking on doors and waking up students that must have been on a school trip . It was an unnecessary wake up call for me too .

great location for a short...

Liked: The accomodation was everything we needed to enjoy a visit to Edinburgh. the room was clean, functional and the staff were helpful. nothing more was required.

Great place to stay for...

Liked: It was so comfortable I wish I could stay there longer. Lounge and kitchen area were great, staff nothing but helpful and nice, location is amazing, room was clean and bed was comfy, and I could relax before the rest of my journey. Highly recommend
Disliked: A little bit too much light in the room but I suppose it's a personal preference. It didn't affect my stay though

Nice for a short stay...

Liked: This is a hostel, but was more comfortable than your run-of-the-mill place. The private rooms were basic, but the beds were good and it had a separate shower and toilet. Close enough to the city center to walk.
Disliked: It's a bit petty that they charge you for the tiny shampoo bottles that come free in literally every other hotel. I mean: towels are included but a bit of shampoo isn't? If I had known in advance I'd have brought one from the night before in another hotel.

Liked: Outside the center but you can walk to the center in 10 minutesVery pleasant and helpful staff who also helped us with tourist plans
Disliked: High price for the fact that it is a hostelIf you are taller, the beds will be slightly uncomfortable for you.
