A fantastic experience that would...

Liked: It's a whole experience! We were welcomed by tbe host with many stories about the property and it's owner, Edgar Degas. On weekends they offer a fantastic hot breakfast, with local recipes, cooked by Billy, a kind and interesting storyteller. Even the continental breakfast served on weekedays is delicious and fresh. The house is beautiful and well located. Parking is easy. All staff were very friendly and provided local - and valuable - information for tourists.
Disliked: Cleaning is the downside. Our room was not cleaned at all in 2 out of 4 days. In another day, the room was cleaned but the used wine glasses were left behind. The heat would not regulate: After the room got too warm, we had to turn it off and wake up during the night to turn it on again (or wake up freezing the next day). On day 1, there was no remote control for the TV - we had to request it in the next day. Everyone was super friendly and tried to solve all the issues, but those seem to be simple operational problems that could have been avoided and enhance the overall experience..

Superb

Liked: We loved the house. It's a different experience compared to a hotel. We got to talk to the owner and get recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants for instance. I love chatting with the people of the place to find out more about the history of the city and the way of life of its inhabitants. The people working at the Degas House are all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was delicious, too, with good, strong coffee and fresh fruit. Having our little Southern porch was amazing. The area is so beautiful. And we even had a parking space right in front of the house.

It was a very nice stay and the wedding was a blast! I got really sick with strep and had to leave earlier than we plann

Liked: The history of the place, close enough to all of the historical places yet far enough away from the wild downtown part
Disliked: These easy things were overlooked, lots of chandelier lights out, mismatched bulbs, IMO the place needs more ambition to keep up with the needed restoration before it gets way out of hand. Overall still. A great place in a great location!

not comfortable and clean to be relaxed and get refreshed!!

Liked: traditional And calm location
Disliked: VERY LOUD AC, cleanliness, no reception and no staff show up , , not comfortable mattress, bath and kitchen and coffee maker was on poor condition, very simple and ordinary breakfast, just some of the lights were working and the rest were burn out( dark rooms). And also check in and entering the room was like a puzzle to be solved to enter the room!!! And question about reservation was just by chat and text message especially it is important especially when the reservation is non-refundable!!!!
