In over 100+ hotel stays...

Liked: The location was convenient to fredonia and I-90.
Disliked: The property was not kept up, the entire building had an odor, once inside the room was even worse with a mixture of a string cleaner mixing with the odor of I presume cigarettes and mold. The bedding was faded and stained and had the same odor, it did not appear clean but hard to tell with the staining. Paint was peeling on the walls of the shower, faucets and plumbing were rusted and dirty, dust and dirt in every corner of the room or any area not high traffic. In my 40 plus years I’ve never written a review but felt this situation warrants it. I had my family pull off the top two blankets before sitting or laying on bed and luckily we had two small blankets in our vehicle we had brought for the kids for the drive there. I showered and the water changed from too hot to cold throughout the shower. I didn’t have my kids shower because of the dirtiness of the bathroom and the peeling paint and rust. I was hoping the continental breakfast might at least be decent but it is non existent, there is one container of coffee with non dairy creamer and sugar packets on a half broken cabinet in the lobby. It was an awful experience. I stay in hotels several times a year and usually have the attitude “it’s not that bad” when we get a below average one, this one is not even close to being acceptable. Liked: The woman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I slept well.
Disliked: No breakfast, though it was advertised. Strong smell of pot near our room. The hotel is shares the space with extended stay residents and so it felt like we were in their permanent space which made us uncomfortable. It wasn’t like a standard Econo Lodge.

Disappointed

Liked: When we got there there was old left over rice on one of the beds. We shouldn’t be able to tell what the previous person had for dinner. Also this was a clear indication that they did not change the bedding.
Disliked: The fact that they remade the bed with dirty bedding

Disliked: The room was not clean, baseboard falling off of wall, bathroom ceiling flaking, multiple lights didn't work, tv remote was broken, volume on TV didn't work, mattress cover was disgusting. Overall, quality there was horrible.

Disliked: Dirty, dirty, needs remodeled. breakfast was not included.

Location, location, location!

Liked: The location was close to Dunkirk Pier and the NYS Thuway!
Disliked: The wall in the bathroom had been patches but the tile Was loose with missing grout. The other issue was that the refrigerator freezer was filled with ice and frost. I took some time to defrost the freezer to ensure proper operation of the refrigerator for our ice packs.The TV was not as easy to use.The light in the bathroom was not property installed.
