Disliked: Ask for a smoking room when I booked on phone and when I got there they said I didn't have a smoking room so they gave us another room for more money. I was quoted $104 plus tax and the room we had was $145 - not happy about the price.

This hotel is a nightmare. There is no elevator (we were on the 3rd floor) and no air conditioning in the hallways (the days we stayed in Toronto it was nearly 100 degrees). We had no tissues in our room and when we asked at the front desk they came back with 4 tissues and said they did not have any boxes of tissues. We found out from some locals that the area is dodgy - no surprise, looking around at the people wandering the streets. We felt very unsafe the second we stepped out of the car. Which brings me to my last comment - they have no parking and told us to park down at the Ramada, which we did - we weren't taking any chances leaving our car on the street during the day, let alone at night.
Disliked: Don't stay at this place - complete nightmare.

Pleasant
Liked: The location is fine, close to the Yonge street which has restaurants, banks and a mall.
Disliked: The breakfast is very basic. The room had a tiny window that can't be opened. The room was extremely dark. They charged 100 CAD deposit that was not mentioned in the description.

value for money hotel to...
Liked: please note that there is no lift in this establishment, so get ready to carry your suitcases with your hands -comfortable bed and desk for working - high-speed internet connection -spacious room -clean fridge is available to store your food -strategic location -Tim Hortons just across the street -2 nearby supermarkets with hot and cold meals and fresh produces -nearby park to hang-out -1 block away to the streetcar (506 at carlton st) -not too crowded and not too noise streets -3 blocks away to the subway station (College) -walking distance to the downtown area and st Lawrence market-union station area -across the street from fast food restaurant Harvey and a convenience shop -various churches are within walking distance when they are back open
Disliked: a shower with stronger pressure will be much appreciated with dismissing the breakfast and tea facilities due to covid-19 pandemic, a microwave and an electric kettle inside the room will be much appreciated -without those, I had to eat my take out meals cold and drink from plastic bottled mineral waters, which are bad for the environment

Lots of value for money...
Liked: I have used EconoLodge on Jarvis for many years. I appreciate its location close to downtown as well as the value I receive. I especially enjoy the rudimentary breakfast provided,
