Liked: Beautiful grounds, stunning to look at.
Disliked: Felt like our room was quite run down. Windows wouldn’t shut, skirting was dirty and chipped everywhere. Bed was awful.

We felt very happy and...

Liked: The pool, jacuzzi and sauna.The large bed.Coffee machine in our room.The breakfast was simply amazing.The grounds and building are amazing.
Disliked: We were in the room Viscountess Maidstone which is above the kitchen. Not the quietest room! The fire door in the corridor squeaked whenever someone opened it and we could hear it in our bed! A bit of WD40 would solve that. A coffee machine at breakfast would have been a bonus as the filtered coffee was too weak for me.

Was very nice but feel...

Liked: Stunning grounds, pleasant staff.
Disliked: We stayed in the Manor House and whilst the room was beautiful there were a couple of things that let it down! The water pressure and hot water was awful, the sink was cracked and the windows had holes in. We also felt the timing that hotel guests could use the spa were very limited especially with only a 1 night stay and checking out by 11 having to fit it breakfast also! I had a voucher purchased for me as a birthday present to use at the spa for a treatment but unfortunately didn’t manage to fit it in on this stay.

Relaxing evening stay but end...

Liked: Only stayed for 1 night and had a very relaxing evening in the spa and very comfortable and peaceful night sleep. However the night stay was spoilt by the terrible breakfast service. (If we had stayed longer and it was a one off we might have overlooked it).We’re taken to our table, not given any info about how breakfast works (shown the cold buffet and juices/water available), not even given a menu so we could at least decide what hot food we wanted or asked if we wanted tea or coffee. So after 20 mins I went and got us a menu from the desk and asked the table next to us who were already there if they had been served and they said they had given up and just got food from cold Buffett. After another 10 mins asked if we could have tea and coffee and were told someone was on way to serve us, twice more we asked and long and short of it we waited 40 mins for hot food (which we were told would be worth the wait). TBH it was Luke warm and nothing special and after spending the summer in various hotels in Ireland think the overall experience was poor.
Disliked: Breakfast service very poor. We were told by staff member they were short staffed but to be honest if we’re paying for breakfast it’s not our problem. At least if we had known we could have used the money to eat elsewhere. The few staff that were working appeared like ‘deer in headlights’ apart from the thin, older lady who did eventually serve as. Appeared to be a couple of managers standing around and tbh in Ireland if short staffed, everyone would muck in, clear tables, ask people if they want tea or coffee etc. it isn’t fair that some people paid for breakfast and ended up giving up and just having the little cold Buffett there was. A little deceitful in my mind to take peoples money on the pretence they can have what they want for breakfast. We’ve stayed in all sorts of hotels, budget and expensive and tbh we have had better service and food in a premier inn

Exceptional staff but the smell...

Liked: The staff was exceptionally nice and kind. Especially the woman who works at the restaurant, she was very kind very welcoming and very helpful.
Disliked: The manor house has a very bad smell. It was very unpleasant and made me feel sick - luckily it didnt go into the room but the smell was in the hallway. The toilet seat was broken, and the double bed was just two single beds, very uncomfortable.
