Holding deposit concerns

Liked: Size of the room and the view
Disliked: I was charged a holding deposit which they actually debited my account. We stayed for a business event so I spoke with 3 others who had rooms the same evening and this didn't happen to with them. I had to call them 2 days after our stay to ask about it and then they took my card details over the phone to process a refund. I was concerned so messaged them and they haven't responded. Wondering if I should now be cancelling my card.

Liked: The room had an amazing view, and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was very nice and good for the price
Disliked: The room could use a touch up paint in the bedroom and bathroom where the air con has been replaced. The light is flickering badly in the bedroom area. It was impossible to get a cab or an uber from the hotel.

Liked: Did not sleep as the room next to ours was banging doors and had loud music until early hours. Informed the receptionist next day and no compensation was offered. There should be security at the property to ensure that all customers are treated with respect. Extremely disappointed
