Excellent location, lovely atmosphere, very...
Liked: Breakfast was ok but not brilliant. I asked for poached eggs on toast. 2 eggs came perfectly cooked on one piece of undercooked toast ( allegedly sourdough ( I would question that) . I asked for another piece of toast which took 5+minutes to come - by which stage the egg was cold and the “toast’ was so undercooked it cannot have been toasted for more than a microsecond . Not very good
Disliked: Breakfast

Disappointed and felt let down.
Liked: The facade, entrance with roaring log fire and the lounges are beautiful.
Disliked: The twin room was very disappointing for the price (£360) which didn’t include breakfast. There was no plug socket near the mirror (only a small one in the wardrobe door. ) In general the room could have done with a few more touches- maybe pictures on the walls! The sash windows were very draughty, so much so that the blinds moved in the breeze. We had to ask for extra duvets and blankets. When we pointed this out to the receptionist she nodded in agreement and said the hotel was aware of this and was looking to address it! Was so looking forward to staying and felt it was a real letdown. Won’t be staying again.

Poor management and customer service
Liked: the location on a residential street in the heart of Marylebone; the small lounges with fireplaces on the ground floor
Disliked: getting a single room implied getting a tiny, tiny space on the ground floor. heating did not work. breakfast à la carte meant waiting for 20 minutes while staff was terribly disorganized (no coordination) (all the tables around me were complaining) (and I did not even want to); door left open causing a cold and unpleasant draft; getting the wrong order. despite the poor service due to lack of management/coordination (the people were kind), the hotel added a percentage for tips automatically to the bill (you could refuse, I was told). at the from desk, staff hies behind a shield. bell person at the clock room helps out ... Forgot something in my room and I had to speak to three people before getting a response (wrong email, no coordination, no proactive follow up). it got sent to my home address but wrongly identified to the shipper so I had to pay import taxes on items not purchased in UK
