It was a comfortable stay...

Liked: The location was amazing, very calming. Room was lovely. Reception staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Disliked: Dinner was lovely, although the waitress dropped part of it on way to the table, also selection of cold soft drinks was very limited and drinks selected were unavailable it was very hit and miss.Breakfast of scrambled eggs were not very warm and we had to remind the waitress for pot of tea we had ordered. The selection was good but would have liked a green vegetable option.No bathrobes provided if you wanted to use the spa, and the towels were past their use very thin. Also the spa had no available bookings.

The hotel served its purpose

Liked: I have stayed here before its quite impressive as you drive up to the hotel It would appear there has been a lot of remedial works carried out in the downstairs corridors etc and it feels and looks nice
Disliked: Rooms lack maintenance the doors to all the rooms are scuffed, mold on the window frames bathroom extract fan was noisy the rooms are just dated we stayed in room 228 The LG television would not look out of place in an antique shop Buffet breakfast was really poor, empty tourines having to wait for them to refilled it was chaotic on the first day of our 3 day stay The last time I stayed at the hotel breakfast was ordered from your table and brought to you good old fashioned serviceThe infamous one toaster that all hotels have it either burns the toast or you have to put it through 6 times then it gets burnt one toaster is not enoughThe health spa is small 1 Jacuzzi fits six people on the whole the spa just looks a bit dated anything but luxuriousReception was hit and miss sometimes manned sometimes not The staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble a credit to the hotel Would I go back for a third time the answer is NOI thought the in-house menus were expensive hence dining elsewhere each evening they never learn these places if the pricing was fair clients would dine on the premises in the eveningsThis may seem like criticism I would suggest its an honest revue of our stay, as what normally happens now the hotel management respond with a torrent of excuses and an apology I don't want either

Liked: Breakfast was good apart from undercooked bacon. Room was nice and comfortable but could do with a deep clean. Dinner was excellent
Disliked: The fact our children 11 & 13 couldn’t use the gym even if they were accompanied by us
