Beautiful hotel in fabulous location...

Liked: Have been many times. Love the location. Pool is great. Staff very friendly. Hotel very clean.
Disliked: Unfortunately the breakfast was dreadful. I have to say it’s one of the worst breakfasts I’ve had in a long while. Food was lukewarm and absolutely tasteless including the bread. Our daughter, up from London, chose something off the menu. The hollandaise didn’t taste right. We had porridge which was gloopy. We have been coming to this hotel since it was a Stakis. I’m so sad to see the breakfast standard has gone down.

Liked: Fantastic setting, lovely layout and decor, attentive staff and comfortable, spacious room. Breakfast was good albeit quite busy and the layout could be made better to avoid congestion
Disliked: Menu is quite limited and was largely the same at dinner as it was at lunch with minimal veggie / vegan options. We also had a shower head which must have been to replace the original one and it didn’t fit the holder so you had to hold it throughout showering - not great! Also, the beds aren’t too comfy and could definitely do with some firmer, updated mattresses. Leisure facilities are good but minimal changing /showering facilities which are very cramped somewhat spoils it.
