Nice hotel but unsure whether...

Liked: Room was nice, so was the hotel in general. Loved the pool, it was really warm. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Although the drink orders were very slow.
Disliked: On our arrival at 14.50 we were told that our room wasn’t ready, so we had a drink and waited. At 15.25 the couple beside us went to see if their room was ready, which prompted me to do the same. We had been forgot about. I also didn’t like the fact that our bedroom faced onto the Garden and Spa area. As beautiful as it was, I felt really uncomfortable looking down on people in hot tubs, and I’m sure they felt the same way. This meant we had to keep our curtains closed the whole stay. I like some daylight in any room I stay in.

Liked: Room was beautiful and opened up onto the lovely spa facilities. Staff could not have been friendlier, but the highlight was the food. We both sampled the seasonal menu and were blown away by the flavours and the generous portion sizes. The staff were all attentive and made sure we were happy.
Disliked: Not so much a criticism, but as it was new years eve, a little entertainment in the public bar might be a suggestion for next year.

Disliked: I was given this stay as a Christmas present and was disappointed as there was no atmosphere about the hotel. There was no background music in the bar/live music. It felt abit like sitting in a library.
