Lovey historic 5 star hotel...

Liked: Best hotel in Verona. Quiet central, historic building, fabulous rooftop bar, great staff, excellent breakfast. Fabulous lounge and indoor bar.We had a great room with views over the historic church next door. This was our second visit to this hotel and we have become converts and will return next year for the opera season.
Disliked: The weather was a bit disappointing, for which I cant hold the hotel responsible. Everything about the hotel was great. We also recommend their hotel in Bologna, The Grand..

Good hotel, but nothing special.

Liked: Excellent location.Excellent dinner at their restaurant.The lady at the restaurant and breakfast was excellent. Top marks for her.
Disliked: Bathroom needs few repairs. It looks dated.The space was too small to come out of the shower inside bath.Breakfast was nothing special, on contrary. It was below average.

Canceled a prepaid reservation and...

Liked: Location was perfect, in the heart of Verona.
Disliked: Due Torri cancelled my PREPAID reservation made through Booking.com, due to an “invalid credit card” which was not true, as it was charged and prepaid. At the front desk, they said they’d refund but charged for the room directly. So we paid for the exact same room, on the exact same dates TWICE. Now I am contesting the prepaid charge with the credit card company. What kind of hotel cancels an already prepaid reservation a week before arrival? Just too much hassle dealing with this, wouldn’t stay again or recommend this hotel.
