Liked: Exquisite architecture & art, centrally located, lovely breakfast buffet, delicious smelling body products, kind staff
Disliked: Very dim! I mean, I looked beautiful inside, but when I stepped into the daylight . . .

Liked: The location, the roof top bar, the historic building
Disliked: Weird extra charges for certain parts of breakfast- it should either be included or not. No water in the room, which has been mentioned in other reviews and they still haven’t addressed, they said the reason for no free water was the no plastic bottle policy. This is commendable on some level, but every hotel I stayed in in Mexico offered water in the rooms in glass refillable bottles. Just felt like a way to make you pay for water from the minibar- and there was just a tiny bottle. Not good enough for the cost of this hotel at all. Finally, my room had a bad smell…the window was opened when I checked in presumably to try and remedy this, but it was very noticeable through the night.

Liked: The staff was very courteous and helpful.
Disliked: While the room was large it was very dark and the only window opened to the breakfast area giving us no privacy, However the hotel management changed us to an upgraded room which had more privacy but still quite dark. While the rest of the hotel's design and ambiance is spectacular the rooms unfortunately aren't equal.

Liked: The restaurant in the hotel is wonderful. The hotel feels historical and modern.

Cool stay in City Center

Liked: Great location if you want to stay in the city center. Cool rooms, layout, comfy beds and linen, well stocked bar, good quality toiletries, welcoming staff.
Disliked: Breakfdast can be improved. Pool area lacks character and feels outdated - same with roof top bar.

Charming hotel in historic centre

Liked: A delightful boutique hotel in the bustling historic centre of Mexico City. The staff were helpful and obliging. Any problem was attended to promptly and the rooms were quite unique in their design, if a little dark.
Disliked: The only thing we didn't like was the restaurant downstairs playing tecno music during the day, which was audible if our windows were open.
