Convenient location, Great views but...

Liked: The location was convenient. The view in the morning from the motel was beautiful. As it is small town, all the food joints are walkable. The popular hiking spots were also a few minutes drive away.
Disliked: When we drove in at night and walked into the check-in area, it was had a strong smell of food. The first impression wasn't great. The room assigned to us also had a very damp and stale food like smell as soon as we entered. We didn't want to call the front desk for this as we wanted to just spend the night and leave the next day but it was so smelly, that we ended up using some disinfectant spray to make things better.
