Disliked: Very poor shower in the room - it needs a good descaling!!

Disliked: a bit tired and not able to have dinner as there was an event on. Wasn't told this in booking . Had to get a taxi to town to eat out .The room had extension leads for tv, which was intermittent , a portable heated radiator . could have been better laid out and parts missing off the wardrobe .

Liked: Nice location and lovely building. Liked the fact there was patio doors for easy access for our dog to go in and out.
Disliked: Firm bed - not much sleep.

Disappointing

Liked: The breakfast was good but the staff could have been more welcoming and interactive.
Disliked: unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The main issue was a festive party hosted at the hotel during my stay. My room was situated directly above the event, and the noise was so loud that it was impossible to sleep until the party ended at midnight.To make matters worse, the communication around this event was extremely poor. I discovered only the next morning that the hotel had sent an email notifying guests that the restaurant would be closed due to the party. However, the email was overly long, and the critical information was buried, making it easy to miss. Clearer and more concise communication could have prevented a lot of frustration.Overall, I’m very disappointed with both the lack of transparency and the overall quality of my stay. If the hotel plans to host events that affect guests’ comfort, proper notification and consideration should be prioritised .
