Regretful bed and breakfast

Liked: Breakfast is nice. The made-to-order veggie omelette is the only reason why I didn't give this place the lowest rating.
Disliked: They want guests to ideally check-in between 3pm-5pm which is preposterous. I stayed 4 days and for 2 days there was NO hot water. After I complained, they gave me a new room, but that room still had only luke warm water. Shoddy construction with no charm in the rooms (I stayed in two!). Very old building so everything creaks; I wouldn't recommend for light sleepers. In the Barbara room, I had to pull out a handful of other guests' hair that had clogged the bathtub. Signs of mold on the bathroom wall of the Penthouse room.

Wonderful Place

Liked: Friendly staff, free covered parking, clean and comfortable, great location, hot breakfast to order but also kitchenette for food prep.
Disliked: We like everything. If you have mobility issues there are stairs but my mom used their railings and we stayed on lower floor.

Very good

Liked: The staff is helpful and friendly. :)) The room is big/has enough supplies to fit the price.
Disliked: There is a dusting issue regarding cleanliness (we have lived for 8 days and thought the room would be vacuumed at least once). My partner had had an allergy attack and couldn’t stop sneezing because of the dust in the room.

Comfortable

Liked: I visited this hostel for a concert and needed a convenient location to get to and from the venue at night without any issues. The location is excellent, very close to the metro. I stayed in a private room with two beds and a separate shower, which was very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious—special thanks to the chef! I’ll definitely return when I’m back in the city. Highly recommend!

Met expectations

Liked: Older room but clean and comfortable. Good breakfast, off street parking, nice neighborhood, pretty quite for being close to a busy street. Easy to get to downtown via bus or sky train. Good value for Vancouver. Would give it a 7.5 rating if I could, good to very good.
