I will return to Doubletree when in Durham.

Liked: Excellent accommodation; beautiful view from bedroom window; very large setting; my wife loved the hello cookies.
Disliked: My bed was too small; only one phone was working; we had to pay for internet service.

Overall, a nice comfortable room...

Liked: The room was very nice with plenty of space. We traveled to see friends and after going out to dinner, we were able to host 6 people comfortably in the living room while we continued to visit and catch up. The bed was comfortable and the shower had lots of pressure. We liked the mirror and shelf outside the bathroom as it allowed us more space to get ready. There was also a balcony with chairs to use which was also nice to have as the weather was lovely.
Disliked: The hotel is a bit older and in some cases the decor is a bit worn. In our room, there was water damage to the bottom of the interior bathroom door and there looked to be some mold starting to grow under the wallpaper near the damage. I showed the staff when we checked out and they were thankful for the information and planned to put a work order in to get this resolved before the next guest. Additionally, the rooms are not great at blocking sound. There was a loud group staying in multiple rooms on our floor (maybe for a family reunion?) and we could hear them clearly as they went from room to room. When we were ready to go to sleep about midnight, I called down to the front desk and the agent said she could hear the group as they were walking toward the lobby and she would have security come right up. Security did and the guests settled down quickly. We did not hear any guests after that.

Liked: Check in and out was a pleasant experience. Front desk staff was on point.
Disliked: We saw several bugs in our room. Also,the housekeeping staff was in such a rush to clean the room, knocked once, and did not wait for a response and came in the room while I was dressing. Of course, she apologized for her mistake.Poor lighting in the room.
