Paid around £270 for 1 night stay not including breakfast. No parking available at hotel and £25 a night for the 14 or so bays. That’s over £300 a night for the hotel. No fridge in the room which was a complimentary upgrade. Another night booked there later in the year, it will be the last. noticed a brand new Premier Inn a few hundred yards away, will use that thereafter.
Liked: It is a nice hotel in a good location.
Disliked: Price of one night stay. Parking charge and no fridge.

Disappointing stay
Liked: Great location, close to centre of York, short walk to shops and attractions. Staff helpful on arrival. Good housekeeping and clean towels daily.
Disliked: Allocated room on first floor, difficult to find up a second flight of stairs after taking the lift. Room was very tired, cold and noisy from main road. Secondary double glazing made it cold and had no sound insulation. The floor was uneven in the room and bathroom, felt like holes in the floor.Shower over the bath which was very dated and toilet seat didn't fit the toilet. Bed wasn't very comfortable, poor pillows, two nights of waking with bad backs.Went to restaurant at 7pm to be told no tables until 8.15 but the restaurant was clearly not busy. We went and found some nice restaurants in York which were much better.Breakfast was ok, coffee machine not working so long queues for hot water / coffee pots. Was convenient for our short stay but will not return to this hotel.
