The staff are very polite...

Liked: The staff were very polite and there is a Greggs located opposite the hotel, unfortunately these are the only positive things I can say about this hotel.
Disliked: This would be my third stay at the doubletree and unfortunately this stay has changed my willingness to stay there again. Our towels were stained on arrival, I went to use the wash cloth on my son’s face as it was rolled and placed on the side as housekeeping does and to my disappointment to see there was nasal mucus dried in the wash cloth. Clearly someone had used it, rolled it back up and placed it back, and this made me realise it had clearly not been changed from the people who stayed in the room prior to us. So clearly towels that pose to seem unused aren’t changed after each customer stay. The main bed made a noise with every move you made, which was not ideal as it disturbed mine and my families sleep. And left us not as well rested as we would’ve liked. The window had a draft and as my son’s bed was next to the window it caused him to become unwell by the end of our stay.

Bad

Liked: the weekend i did stay was perfectly fine.
Disliked: Unfortunately, I had made an error with dates and arrived at hotel a week earlier and paid for a room on the spot as Doubletree were unwilling to alter the pre-existing booking. My mistake but no latitude from the Doubletree, despite staff on the desk assuring me it could be cancelled.
