Good location, could improve lighting...

Liked: Good location, easy to access motorway
Disliked: Rooms were poorly lit. Could do with ceiling lights or brighter bulbs in lamps. Also couldn’t adjust room temperature. We only stayed one night so didn’t bother complaining about these issues.

Staff generally good but let...

Liked: Mushrooms were excellent. Brown bread for toast was nice. Reception staff were good both on arrival and departure. Main bar lady was also helpful and catered for our group of different ages and tastes from a hot drink to a pint.
Disliked: Breakfast was poor. No mugs for coffee so I had some in my room instead at my table with my toast. Bacon was over cooked or had been on hotplate too long. No plain croissants at 0845, some 45 minutes of breakfast left. Pillows were awful. Did not sleep well. Sleeping was very poor compared to other hotels.

Bad

Disliked: The heating didn’t work in our room so we were cold through the night even though we told a member of staff and then all night we could hear the people in the neighbouring room talking and shouting and could also hear people running up and down the corridor.

Relaxing in a great setting...

Liked: Everything was very good. The room, the service, the food, the breakfast, the pool…all good . A great stay
Disliked: There was nothing I didn’t like.

Awful place. Avoid it.

Disliked: The party in the room above that the management failed to deal with for two hours in the middle of the night despite requests to do so.

Wouldn’t be my next choice!

Disliked: 99% of staff in this hotel were just blatantly rude and understaffed by the looks of it. Everything you asked them was a chore!!!
