Great location, great hotel!

Liked: Genuinely really nice hotel! Big room, great location. Staff helped me with a refund of my last night when I had to leave a day early

Liked: Located up the road from Madison Square Gardens and not far from the Subway. Really easy to get around, good base for sightseeing. Nice Deli's and eating places nearby. Warm cookies given complimentary at hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. My stay here was really pleasant and I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a nice, clean hotel room to stay in whilst visiting New York.
Disliked: Maybe a bigger reception area, or different layout. There is a pillar in front of the reception desk making it awkward to queue. Very small seating area in reception. Not sure if this can be improved but it was very cramped when checking in and out whilst other guests had their suitcases.

Liked: The location was great, within good walking distance of all attractions. Could see the top of the ESB from the room. Housekeeping every day although we only had 3 towels for 4 people.
Disliked: The room was quite small to fit a family of 4. There are 2 small lifts and 1 was broken several times during our stay. The heater is very loud when it kicks in through the night. We switched it off a few times so not to be woken up but because it was -13 outside it was then cold waking up. The windows let in a lot of cold too. The shower didnt get very hot either.

Liked: Location was great and convenient.
Disliked: After check-in and getting to the room I noticed the room wasn’t as booked, I had booked a room with a skyline view but was given a room facing the building on the other side of the road on a low floor. I rang the front desk and was told the room I was in was a room with a skyline view. I was very disappointed as I had paid extra for a room with a view and ended up in a room that probably had the same view as the cheaper ones. It dampened the experience. Now pair that with the fact that one of only two elevators was broken for the entire stay and we could never get an elevator when actually trying to leave our room and always ended up having to take the stairs and having to wait up to 20 minutes when trying to go back up to the room was a horrible experience. Also being told a view of the building across the street is a room with a view felt condescending to say the least. All in all I’ve had better experiences in other hotels and would not stay here again.

Great location but not up...

Liked: Location was great, easy to walk into central Manhattan. Room had all essentials needed including iron, safe and TV. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Not enough lifts for the property, only 2 for 27 floors, regularly waiting a long time to use them and so get in and out of the property. Was supposed to be daily housekeeping but one day they didn’t touch the room and another towels etc were not changed. Heating unit was very loud, couldn’t sleep with it on but were there in a very cold January.

Disliked: Coffee machine in the room waa not clean. elevator was a problem. It was out of service time to time. So sometimes we had to wait 15 minutes for the elevator
