Great location and clean and...

Liked: The proximity to the UT football stadium was great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (minus the pillows!). Staff was friendly and hospitable until the power went out then seemed overwhelmed and at a loss.
Disliked: The $35 self parking fee. The $21 + 20% tip buffet breakfast in the lobby (not enough seating, not a restaurant) that IS the same MEAL we get complimentary at most hotels. Literally not even as much of a spread as we enjoyed free at Fredericksburg Inn & Suites. That adds another $100/night to the overpriced room rate we paid due to game weekend. AND the power was off from 5pm until 9:30pm our last night. We had no notice and very little was communicated even in person as we waited in the lobby with our friends. No water or anything provided. No apology or credit issued. NOTHING. Complete darkness. Very unprofessional. I expect better from Doubletree. We were told we can cancel and checkout if we like, but no offer to assist us find other lodging.
